Clinical Data Collection & Analysis

Data for analysis is at the core of CyberMed•Cloud. The data collected from your medical device in CyberMed•Cloud can unlock incredible business potential. From basic statistical analysis to AI and Machine Learning, the possible benefits are enormous.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are transforming the landscape of Medical Devices and CyberMed.Cloud will boost your competitive edge. Our Machine Learning engineers can design and implement the software algorithms to take advantage of this amazing technology.

Your device software and firmware can be updated over-the-air (OTA), available when a newer version is placed in the cloud. With this feature, your device checks for available versions, and offers the user to update, if applicable. Operating system patches also can be brought to the device from CyberMed•Cloud, providing necessary security updates addressing Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs).

System health monitoring provides a powerful method of identifying potential issues preemptively. Usage or time based maintenance schedules can be used to alert the manufacturer or users when the system needs servicing. System warnings and errors captured can be used to avert down-time with proactive maintenance.

Data Sharing and User Authentication with Assigned Privileges

Authenticated data sharing and assigned privilege roles are key requirements of Medical Devices. With CyberMed.Cloud group permissions can be assigned, enabling restricted data sharing with defined roles for the manufacturer, site administrators, device technicians, operators, and patients.

Allowing Technicians authorized access without hard-coded passwords is an important Cybersecurity requirement. With CyberMed•Cloud, the technician can use a cloud portal to receive a device specific, short term password for login.

When devices that monitor patients are streaming data to the cloud, text and email can be used to alert the user or health care provider upon events seen.
For example, if a patient is wearing a movement monitor and the bluetooth connection is lost, battery is low, or the movement is out of desired range, a text can be sent to the user or care-giver to address the situation.

Likewise, hospital staff or nursing home staff could be alerted upon any patient situation that needs addressing, based on monitored data.

Patient Monitoring and Alerts

Pay-per-use and Usage Tracking

When the clinical data your device collects is sent to Cybermed•Cloud, a myriad of opportunities open for monetization. By allowing the health care provider to pay as the device is used,  financial barriers to using the device disappear and everyone benefits.

Usage tracking can provide valuable actual field human factors information.  Features that are not used can be assessed as to whether they are simply unknown, or they are not needed. Unexpected  workflows can provide insight to usability and human factors problems.

Interfacing to multiple systems is a huge convenience for the manufacturers' clients. Whether to a hospital's EHR, insurance claim handling, laboratory information management , or shipping logistics: being able to connect to other systems is a huge benefit.

CyberMed.Cloud makes the interfacing straightforward and easy. We have interfaced to a multitude of systems for a wide variety of purposes and workflows and can efficiently connect your system for reporting, payment, or retrieval of information.

Consumables Tracking

Medical devices often have consumables, such as reagents, cartridges or drug delivery mechanisms. These are generally necessary for use of the device, and if inventory is not replenished, the device cannot be used. The ability to track consumption can provide  automated reorder, or alerts, providing a service to the device users, and a smoother revenue stream for the manufacturer.

Consumable tracking can also allow for detection of unauthorized or counterfeit consumables. Information about the consumable, such as serial number or other identifier can help detect fraudulent use.

A wide variety of technologies and devices for at-home use providing a huge benefit for both the patients and the health care systems.  From assistive devices to enhance personal capabilities to treatment equipment providing home therapy, the growth in this market is phenomenal. With telemedicine allowing for monitoring health at a distance using high-resolution visual images transmitted to the cloud for remote review facilitate health care by not requiring an in-person review.
